Attorney Lizary Mendoza is licensed to practice law in the Dominican Republic and in the State of California, with a strong background in U.S. immigration law and a distinguished academic foundation both in her home country and in the United States.
In 2017, she earned her law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, graduating with honors. She later obtained a Master’s Degree in Civil Procedure from the same institution in 2019, where she further developed her litigation and legal analysis skills.
After practicing law in the Dominican Republic, Attorney Mendoza immigrated to the United States in 2019, where she continued her legal education by earning a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in U.S. Law from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Subsequently, she achieved a significant professional milestone by passing the California Bar Exam on her first attempt, demonstrating her ability to succeed in one of the most demanding legal jurisdictions in the country.
From the beginning of her career, Attorney Mendoza has been dedicated to U.S. immigration law, developing extensive experience in complex and high-stakes cases. She has worked at multiple immigration law firms in both New Jersey and also in Los Angeles, California, gaining hands-on experience in a wide range of immigration matters, including family-based petitions, asylum cases, humanitarian visas (VAWA and U Visas), consular processing, adjustment of status, and naturalization.
